The Whitewater Research & Safety Institute (WRSI) was created and began the development, manufacturing, and distribution of a safer water sports helmet. Under the direct auspices of Dr. Andrew H. Conn, the Mechanical Design Engineering Department at Johns Hopkins University, the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University, and the Inventors, Mr. Chang Lee and Mr. Michael Cordeiro, the WhiteWater Head Impact Protection Project (WHIPP) resulted in a prototype that has produced the WRSI water sports helmet, that we believe to be the "safest whitewater helmet in the world". Three Liners: Liner A: EVA Foam Comes with fittings for all sizes. Colors: Black, Red or White

I got this helmet because it was extremely comfortable and easily adjusted to stay on my head so that it could do the job it's supposed to. I've worn in on the river and i barely notice that it's on. the WRSI fitting bag that included other sizes of pads was great because I could find the perfect fit, which is a good idea considering how many different shapes and sizes heads come in. The materials used for the shells are also very hard and reliable, not a flimsy plastic that you can sometimes find in other helmets. It also is a cool looking helmet, and definitely an all-around safe bet.
