the ball is harder than normal volleyballs but i was concerned that it was really dirty like it had been used or something!!

Great all purpose ball for beginners. Soft "leather" like feel, w/ good control. Very durable, withstood 3 months daily middle school practice on an asphalt court & is still usable! Will be ordering more next year.
