Customer Reviews:
Great for beginners and recreational players October 25, 2008 Chad Nevils (Pennsylvania) I recently began to play tennis regularly and needed a suitable racquet. I initially chose this racquet because of the oversized head. When I first picked it up I noticed how light it was. I have practiced for over four hours at a time and have never had any fatigue from using this racquet. The oversized head imparts a lot of power to your shots. It took some time for me to learn how to properly hit the ball to keep it in play because they kept going long. Using this racquet allowed me to focus on learning the important concepts of control and shot placement first, and then later I was able to focus on adding power to my shots. I would recommend this racquet to anyone who is looking to take up tennis on a regular basis and isn't quite sure what all the racquet "mumbo-jumbo" is about. The price also means you don't have to worry about feeling bad when you don't get out for a week or two. I have moved on to more advanced racquets, but this one is always in my bag whenever I'm going to the courts.
Stiff and a light raquet September 24, 2008 Girish (Ft Myers, Fl USA) I have been using this raquet from past 3-4 months. Its very light with a stiff frame and a good swing weight. So it is a powerful raquet much needed for some one who cannot generate maximum power on their own. This bat would have been ideal if the head area was mid size with area between 95-100 Sq inches. But this one is 110 Sq inches falling into over-sized category which is little difficult to maneuver. Still I am able to hit lot of back hand shots because it is lighter. Definetely a good racket for intermediate players. After sometime I will be looking into buying Wilson K tour again made of Nano carbon material (I am an fan of Nano Carbon materials!) which provides more control.
Good Value June 5, 2008 Mike T. (Miami) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have only played with this racket for a few weeks since receiving it. It is a good value and imparts a lot of power very easily. A comfortable handle and light weight. I'm not sure it is the best fit for me as a racket, but still a very good value.
