Product Description An update to the legendary Babolat Pure Drive Team Oversize, the new Pure Drive 110 w/ Cortex utilizes a vibration filter called Cortex at the top of the handle. Cortex is used in several of Babolat's players racquets to enhance feel by cancelling only the 2 highest vibration frequencies.Only those frequencies that enhance feel are permitted to pass through the Cortex filter.
Other than the addition of the Cortex filter (and a snazzy new paint scheme) Babolat has kept the specifications on this new Pure Drive 110 similar to the outgoing Pure Drive Team Oversize, maintaining the same length and headsize. The Pure Drive Oversize w/ Cortex is now more like a traditional players racquet in the sense that it's light, stiff, and fairly powerful. Control is improved versus the prior generation Pure Drive Team Oversize.
More effectively categorized as a tweener (between powerful/controlled), the Pure Drive still appeals to a very wide array of players. One of a few racquets that works well at the net, as well as the baseline.

This racquet is great! I really enjoy it!June 17, 2008 Bac Nguyen(Fountain Valley, CA USA) This racquet does hold ball a touch longer and the feel is very good. My serve is comfortable and I didn't even double fault with this racquet. The power is less than other racquet but the spin is very good. The racquet has a beautiful control and feel to it. At net the maneuverability is better than most other racquets i've used in the past. The overhead is not powerful but overall i really enjoy this racquet. I think i'll keep this racquet for a long time until something else comes along better.
