Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Tretorn's micro cell tennis ball, the Tretorn Micro X, is neither pressurized nor pressureless. By utilizing over 700 million balloon-like microcells that don't lose pressure, the Micro X ball combines the best of both worlds, resulting in a tour performance ball that does not lose bounce or performance over time. Because Tretorn Micro X balls do not rely on gas pressure to maintain their bounce, the aspect of the balls 'going flat' is completely removed. The patented leak-proof design means Tretorn Micro X tennis balls remain playable for extremely long periods of time, store well, and don't require chargers or other leak reduction accessories. As a result, Tretorn Micro X balls are a favorite among tennis coaches, schools, tennis clubs, and recreational players. Each cardboard sleeve contains three Tretorn Micro X balls. Tretorn does not provide air-tight packaging for these balls because they do not lose pressure!

5 out of 5 stars Great tennis balls   November 2, 2008

These are essentially indistinguishable from regular pressurized balls--if you pay attention, they do feel a little different when hit, slightly harder I would say--but they don't change my game. After using them probably 6 or 7 times, they have the same bounce, although the felt is wearing down and the X marking is almost worn off some of them. Also note that the photo here seems to indicate a plastic sleeve to hold them, but it's just a flimsy cardboard box. But I recommend these.

2 out of 5 stars Know what a 'sleeve' is?...   November 28, 2007

...I wish I had when I ordered these tennis balls for my daughter's stocking stuffer! After paying $6.75 for the balls and $7.49 for the shipping, I didn't expect to find the product in a flimsy cardboard box. No can. No hard plastic container...the 3 balls come in a truly flimsy cardboard box. I was very disappointed and feel that Garrison Sports should have been clear in defining what a 'sleeve' was. The balls themselves are excellent, but without a quality container to take them to the courts in, they're definately not worth the $14.24 I put out for them.
