The ball and heel of this tennis crew provide medium density padding to protect against shock, impact and blister. The flat knit spandex of the arch provides support with less bulk for a better shoe fit. Low-density padding cushions the instep from lace pressure. You'll feel like you're walking on air in this amazingly constructed walking crew sock. Please note the following Thorlo sizing guide: Men's Shoe Size 5.5-8.5 and Women's Shoe Size 6.5-10 = Sock size 11. Men's Shoe Size 9-12.5, Women's Shoe Size= 10.5-13 = Sock size 13. Men's Shoe Size 13-15 = Sock size 15. All sizes are based on US shoe sizes.

The best walking socks that don't look like 'em June 13, 2008

These are the best walking socks I have found -- and I've tried them all. In my experience, they last about 6-7 years before getting thin at the heels and holes in the toes--and that's phenomenal, in my book. The cushioning is heavenly, the wicking is great, and the softness is plush. Plus, they come in black, so I can wear them every day, and no one knows my feet are being pampered. I walk at least 2 miles every day, mostly on concrete; so if your walking habits are similar, I would highly recommend Thorlo walking crew socks.

I've been buying these socks for about 10 years. They fit great and are comfortable walking socks. Unfortunately, the quality is not what it used to be. The tops of these socks now unravel after only a few washings. Once that happens, the sock starts degrading rather quickly. They just started making them cheaper. I doubt that I'll buy any more.

These socks are fabulous! I have to wear steel toe shoes at work, so I'm always looking for cushy socks. These are the best I've found. The cushioning hasn't broken down and they have held up really well. I was concerned about them not being cotton and might be too hot in the summer but they're not. If you're on your feet a lot, I definitely recommend these. They are little thick, so they work best with a pair of shoes that have some extra room.

Product was noted for size which it did not fit. I am 10.5 and it did not work on my feet. They were to small. Needed next size up.

My husband has type 2 diabetes and his feet are frequently sore and tender, I have bought him several different brand socks, many labeled as 'diabetic' socks- of everything I have bought him these are his favorite, he says they are well cushioned and offer enough support without being constricting. After his 'rave review' I bought him 6 more pair. The sizing chart on Amazon was a bit confusing but I made a guess as to what would work, and guessed right.
