Product Description Easily the most distinctive skiing and snowboarding helmet on the planet, the Bad Lieutenant Helmet enhances your style without taking anything away from exceptional safety. It's made with a high-impact ABS outer shell wrapped around a secure EPS liner. Around the back you'll find a snap-closure helmet strap attachment with a two-bar decoration. One standard-issue caveat: Whether it was for extra style points or for riders who don't like to feel cool breezes against their noggin, Giro didn't add any ventilation ports to their Bad Lieutenant helmet. Hardcore fashion elite soldiers won't care, but if you're into riding late into the spring or you spend your summers at a snowboard camp, you might surrender to the heat.
Product Description Offering military styling, this snowboard helmet features an injection-molded construction bonding a durable, high-impact ABS shell to an EPS liner. Removable, injection-molded earflaps lock directly into the liner, which can be removed for washing. An adjustable, padded chinstrap keeps the helmet in place. The helmet comes in extra-small, small, medium, and large sizes. Depending on size, it weighs approximately 19.5 ounces. An extra-small helmet fits a head with a circumference of 20.5 inches to 21 inches. A small helmet fits a head with a circumference of 21 inches to 22 inches. A medium helmet fits a head with a circumference of 22 inches to 22.5 inches. A large helmet fits a head with a circumference of 22.5 inches to 23.25 inches. About Giro Working late nights in his garage, designer/bike racer Jim Gentes created the first lightweight adult cycling helmet in 1985. Friends at NASA helped tune the final helmet shape and vent placement, and the result was the Giro Prolight, a helmet that was better looking than traditional designs while offering a superior fit and still met the industry's toughest safety standards. Plus, it was half the weight of traditional helmets. Since then, Giro has advanced its helmets, many of which have set the standards for styling, function, and innovation for progressive, performance-oriented riders on dirt, pavement, and snow. Giro helmets are worn by millions of riders, cyclists, skiers, and snowboarders around the world. Young-bloods and old-timers; hard-cores, heshers, and hipsters; rookies, experts, and a few regular Joes too--in fact, pretty much anyone that appreciates superior fit and function, cutting edge styling, and the very best ideas you get in a helmet.

Great helmet! Any BSG fans out there? May 25, 2008 Jerry C. Henson (Corpus Christi, Texas) When the helmet arrived, it was a beautiful chrome color with a shine like you woudln't believe. I tried it on and was VERY happy with it. This thing has a great fit and is very light in weight. The seller offered a hard-to-find helmet at an AWESOMELY low price and I was DEFINITELY pleased. Since I have no intentions to take it skiing or snowboarding or whatever, I can't really speak for its quality as far as absorbing impact to my noggin. But it's a light-weight helmet that fits very well. I bought this for a costume, so I had to paint it black. Since hindsight's always twenty-twenty, I really should've taken a couple pictures before painting this bad boy, when I think about it. 'Cause this helmet was a REAL beauty! Now it doesn't even look the same (although it still looks good). I'd definitely recommend this helmet to anyone who needs it due to the helmets proper fit. I'd ESPECIALLY recommend this helmet to anyone interested in doing a costume from the new Battlestar Galactica series (since it's the same helmet used on the show).
Best snowboarding item ive ever bought February 8, 2008 Higure San 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is the one item that has changed my snowboarding life. getting a helmet makes you so much more confident and if you are struggling to snowboard, you know confidence is what you lack. i went from green hills, doing the falling leaf into carving black diamonds and doing jumps within 2 trips up. the helmet has changed my life, plus it looks pimp.

First of all, awesome helmet. I ride in Vermont for reference: COLD winters! This helmet kept my head and ears warm, the ear flaps have little mesh panels so you can still hear really well. The ear flaps as well as the liner panels inside the helmet are removeable for washing. Helmet is lightweight. Fits fine with goggles and has a snap strap on the back to hold your goggle strap in place. But really though, regardless of all this, you know at first glance if this is your helmet or not!
