If you are a serious diver, or you just dive for pleasure, you should have a wheel, but not any wheel, the Padi Wheel, and you will have an accurate calculation for all your dives.
If your dive computer run out off batteries while you are diving, you should stop diving, unless of course, if you have the Wheel, and you can calculate how much time you may still enjoy your diving. It will never stop your divings because of malfunctioning.
