While the other review is true, if you are a runner, these work pretty well. I stepped up my milage too much and injured my metatarsals. Because my shoes are roomy as most runners shoes are, the size or the pad was not a problem. The padding worked great. I was able to keep on running. Probably put 200 miles on the pads before I ordered a backup pair as they were showing signs of wear.

This product is not "wafer thin" as advertised. It causes your foot to raise and rub the top of your shoe. The gizmo that slips over your toe to hold it in place is too wide and too thick and you can feel it. Also, when walking, it pulls that toe down, rubbing the top of the toe on your shoe. I can see why the price was discounted
