Cumulus running shoes. February 14, 2010 Jj Botha (Atlanta, GA USA) I am a 220lb runner. I run ave. 20miles a week and love the shoes! Good support!
Wife loves these shoes! January 5, 2010 K. Pyle (raleigh, NC) We have tried many different brands but we keep going back to Asics Cumulus for the excellent cushioning and comfort. I don't buy any other brand or model any more. I have run two marathons and two sprint triathalons and have logged many training miles over the last 10 years; Asics shoes ROCK.
Above average December 15, 2009 Running panda (United States of America) With a Japanese brand like Asics, you would have high expectations like I did when I made my purchase. However, they did not live up to my standards, especially how expensive they were. My previous Asics trail Gel Attack 3 were more comfortable than the Cumulus 10. In comparison with the Brooks Glycerin and Saucony Pro Grid Jazz, the Cumulus 10 place 3rd. I am still puzzled how they feel SO comfortable when walking but so rigid during running. Running roughly ~20 miles a week, my knees tell me the difference between the 3 pairs in comparison. In terms of weight, it's heaviest of the 3. The Brooks Glycerin is the most comfortable shoe for my type of feet. (Medium arch with neutral pronation). This will be the last time I wear Asics.
good but... August 17, 2009 Eric Daigle 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I ran about 30 miles and the mesh does not offer the side to side support I was expected. I always feel my foot sliping when i'm running over an uneven surface. This movement lead me to tie my shoes tighter than usual. As for the shock absorption it work great for me.
not the same fit as older Gel Nimbus July 5, 2009 J. Bratton (Cowtown) 1 out of 6 found this review helpful
I've been running in the Asics Gel Nimbus for several years now. I was so glad to have found a shoe that I could trust. So when I needed a new pair of shoes, I didn't hesitate to buy the Gel Nimbus 10. How disappointing! The shoes felt fine, but after wearing them running I noticed that the toe box is narrower. I ended up with blisters all over my toes and on the bottom of my feet. When I got ready to run the next time, I compared the fit to my old Nimbus 9 and noticed that my toes are rubbing slightly against the inside of the shoe. If only the shoe was a little wider. I'm considering cutting the side of the shoe open to give my toes a place to go. It's still a great shoe, but you can't blindly purchase them just because the 8 or 9 worked for you.
