I wear these things because I ride outside on a bike in the freezing cold. And they do their job. BUT because I ride a bike as my only mode of transport. My calves are thick and these socks have bands of rubber at the tops so what you can do if you don't mind shortening the lives of your socks a bit is take a knife and cut through the rubber band at the top where it restricts your blood flow to your foot.
If I was a wimp and not a do it myself I'd give this product less stars. But it's a bunch of WARM socks for cheap. All you gotta do is cut that band. And if you have little chicken legs you should have no problemo at all.
They are warm though. Not one single one has come apart on me and I'm hard on everything and I rip everything apart pretty quickly so that's saying a lot.

Wool socks are the best for cold weather. They allow your feet to breathe and are better if they do get wet. Cotton once wet will never dry.

I would have to give these a four. One of the socks ripped when I washed it. That tells me a little about the workmanship. I love the socks no doubt about it though. You can put them in the dryer but not for long though or the rubber will melt. I've found that you can dry them till they get warm that way there won't be fuzzies all over them when you take them out of the wash. They are warm and warm and let me say warm. Work at a ski resort and am out in the cold all day. I even go snowboarding in these socks. They won't let you down and for the price they are great. If you want alot I'd order 2 sets.

These socks are awesome, my son wears them everyday to work on a dairy farm, instead of the 3-4 layers of regular socks he used to wear. The price is right too.

I love these boot sox, there just great, just what Father Winter ordered, they keep your feet very warm and the cushioning on the sox are very comfy as well, I highly recommend these sox for those who have to work outdoors and need alittle cushion to boot.
