An Excellent Full-Size Knife January 11, 2008 DJS (Seattle, WA) For the money, this is an excellent knife. I use it for work, carry it for utility and light self defense, and frequently use it while hunting and fishing. This is a large knife, well suited for big hands and it's thin profile carries well clipped inside a front pocket. My only complaint is that while the belt clip is reversible, it is same side reversible only, and therefore not entirely ideal for southpaws like myself. This is not a big problem though, and it is still very quick to deploy thanks to its speedy assisted open feature. The blade locks up tight when in the open position, and there is no discernible movement of any parts when in use. The knife is easy to hold onto due to built in groves in the top and bottom of the frame. The steel is excellent, holds an edge well, and the drop point blade makes quick work of all fish and game cleaning tasks. If you want one knife that can do it all, you can spend more money, but you can't ask for much more than this knife has to offer.
Kershaw Cyclone - best knive I've ever owned. December 31, 2007 Scott A. Fritz (Berlin, PA USA) The Kershaw Cyclone is simply the best knife I've ever owned. With a 3 3/4" blade it has more than enough cutting power for most any tasks you could want to perform. I love having the assisted opening feature on a large bladed knife. The assisted opening can also be turned on or off; for frequent openings that you don't want you knife springing open, turn it off, for normal use and you want to wow your friends with your nice new knife, turn it on. Great product.
cyclone September 7, 2007 Lawrence L. Lunt (USA) I use a knife everyday for work. The cyclone is easily opened w/the assist. It's slim and light. I just bought another one because this one is wearing down. The tortion bar assist broke on my old one after two years of heavy use. It has a sturdy wide blade. I find it's my favorite work knife.
