A cotton and nylon blend withstands the carnage dished out by granite, sandstone, limestone, or whatever type of rock you like to climb. Arc'teryx shortened the legs to increase ventilation on a sweaty approach and keep them out of the way when you heel hook your way through a techy crux. The Witness Cropped Pants also have articulated knees to allow total freedom of movement when you need it the most.
