Although I've used this product before, it was a l-o-n-g time ago (Please read my comment to JJW's review ...)

As for the quality of the material and workmanship, I will return with a follow up review when my order arrives.

Thank you, Pooldawg!

This product is partially functional if a stop shot is used. Results change with spin, throw, etc. Substantially overpriced piece of stiff paper.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent tool for improving your aim...   November 9, 2007

When I first read about this product, I knew it would be helpful, but I didn't know it would be as impressive as it was.

The use of the product is simple.
1) You place the aim trainer as close as physically possible to (without touching/affecting the position of) the ball you'd like to pocket.

2) Make sure the arrow points the the center of the pocket you'd like to aim for.

That's it. What you get is a visual clue as to where to really aim to make contact (which is half a ball's length behind the centerline of the path towards the pocket you're aiming for). You don't have to worry about leaving the product on the table, as it's made of paper and it is completely flat.

I would get into more detail about the product, but I don't own it anymore. I used it when I first bought it 2 years ago and as soon as I got a sense of where I really needed to be aiming, I gave it away to a friend who needed it.

It's such a simple to use, yet very effective tool to help you learn how to aim your shots properly and I can honestly say that it improved my game greatly.

I would recommend purchasing this product for

a) anyone who is already a decent pool player whose aim could use some improvement, or b) someone you know who is just learning to play.
