I also had the same experiance with the noise. It is very loud. Definately the site not the bow.

The Carolina Archery Three Pin sight seemed solid initially. But when mounted to the bow, the pin guard vibrates. This is noticed during shooting, and was initially attributed to string noise. I then bumped the bow and realized it was coming from the sight.
After emailing the company, twice, the second email received an apology - but that was it.
If interested, mount it to your bow before purchase, then tap the sight pin guard.
